“But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.” 2 Corinthians 2:14
It’s never too late to start living your purpose. At least that’s what God seems to be telling me. I’m a slow learner. But in clinging to God’s grace, immeasurable patience and guidance I am finally doing what I wanted to do all along, though I didn’t know it.
I’m writing my stories about finding God in unexpected places. Of going through the hard places, the ugly places, the shameful places, and sometimes the funny places…and meeting God there. God has turned those places into triumphant, grace-filled places.
I am an imperfect mother to two boys, a nine-year old and an 18-year old. I’m not sure why it’s so surprising to me that these wonderful, unique, beautiful creatures insist on not being perfect. Until recently I was also an imperfect wife. But after a twenty-year marriage I realized the “worse” part of “for better or worse” cannot, should not, include abuse of any kind. Ever. See, slow learner.
The agonizing decision to leave my marriage and the security I had there has been the catalyst for me to find God in unlikely places. And given me lots to write about.
I hope you’ll stick around, read my stories, and share some of your own.
